Thanks to some tech-savvy volunteers, the young novice monks at the Wat Mano primary school were treated to a whole new classroom experience yesterday! For the first time at the school, the blackboard was abandoned for a big screen and data projector...much to the delight of the young students!

A powerpoint presentation, created by volunteer Patrick, was used to teach the spellbound students colours and shapes. The topic was brought to life by animation, and the vivid colours made possible by the computer display.

While some private schools have been using data projectors in their classrooms for a while now, this is the first time it has been employed in a temple school by GVI...and it's sure to be the first of many, with other volunteers already working on presentations for future classes, both at Wat Mano, and the monk school.
