Staff Member Bio- Molly

Hello my name is Molly and I am one of the field staff here in Luang Prabang. I have spent 6 busy but happy months on the project and I will be here for many more. I am from America, born in England but with a little Australian blood mixed in! Before moving to Luang Prabang I taught Hispanic mothers and their children ESL (English as a Second Language). I enjoy teaching but I also fell in love with this city a few years ago so when the field staff position opened up I jumped at the opportunity!

My role on the project is to train volunteers how to teach English to novice monks and other Lao speaking students. I also help volunteers with lesson planning, keep the resource room organized, run the blog, train and mentor our interns and help solve any problems that may arise. In my free time I am learning to speak Lao which helps me every day out at Wat Mano Primary School where I oversee the English classes.

I love staying busy, exploring this beautiful country, keeping everything and everyone organized and getting to know the volunteers. If you ever want to listen to the monks and novices chant, want to take a long bike ride or even need a dance partner- come find me!
