University is Back!

The 2013-2014 school year has begun! Xayadeth College is back in full swing for another year of learning with native English speakers. The college is located right across the lane from where the volunteers live when they are on the project in Luang Prabang. The 8am teachers find this very handy! We teach Year 1, Year 2 and Year 3 in both the mornings and the evenings. The college has grown so much that we teach 8 classes a day which totals to 17 hours of teaching time thanks to our hard-working volunteers. Men and women attend Xayadeth College as do a handful of novices and monks. The subjects we are teaching include Writing, Environment, Eco-Guide, Reading, Lao and Asian Culture, Listening and Vocabulary with two English speaking volunteers in every class.
